The nine 24” square paintings make up one work: “The Process of disappearing.” They represent individual repressed moments over a 25 year span. They are also a nod to the nine-patch quilt pattern referencing a traditional homemaker. Collectively these work to demonstrate how a series of events can transform an individual into something other than her true self.
